Trafalga for UEA

Much to Jana's dismay, us boys started out with the wet stuff--it was about 65 degrees with a cool breeze...but sunny

Brady had fun in the playhouse

The boys enjoyed the carousel while Tyler and I waited in line for go-karts. Notice McKay is a plain white t-shirt...so the rest of his clothes could dry after the powered tubes that let you spray each other

Waiting in line for go-karts

Finally, driving time begins

the smiles say it all...

McKay was his normal exuberant self

Then, Jana and I got to go with Brady

Brady put his arms up to make Jana go faster

Since Jana and I are never competitive with each other it was all just fun :)

Off to the frog jumper...it shook McKay and Ryan up good...

...but Ryan needed a little more

McKay went up the climbing wall...

...all the way up, three times

We did some mini bowling, laser tag, mini golf and played some video games

And of course there were some dippin dots involved--fun activity...and BYU won their game 56 to 3.

Bessy, Lisa, Ryan, Bryson, McKay Tyler, Brady, McKenna

Brady dancing to "'dem bones"...he's got a nice lean move.

Ryan and Brady looking up at a helium balloon

Ryan is describing his affection for Lisa--loves her so much his face contorts...

McKay during anti-drug week with weed in his mouth...we've gotta watch this kid.

Happy family!

Love our kiddies!

Fall Colors 2011

The leaves on the mountains have changed colors.

If you make this picture bigger you can see the variety of color covering the mountains.

We finally received our last mirror for the house! We're very happy with it!

...and we had our painting framed. It does a good job of covering the large wall.

But we also had another addition to the house that is not welcome! Hopefully the animal people will be able to move it tomorrow.

Boating on Utah Lake

Getting ready to head out. McKay would've ridden right there on the way to the lake if he could've. The weather was beautiful.

Lisa was showin' the boys how to do it on the wake board.

She did great!

Then it was back to the normal tubing adventures...

It was a little rainy...

...but still a lot of fun and great to be together!

PGHS Homecoming Fun

Tyler and McKenna ready to go to the Homecoming dance.

The whole group headed out to dinner. They had a picnic in the park, then changed into their formal attire, met at our house and went to get pictures taken, then to dinner. After dinner they went to the dance and then came to our house to watch a video and eat snacks Jana had prepared. They had a lot of fun.

Hike to Battle Creek Falls

On the way to the falls there were some mounds of dirt that needed to be climbed...

The lower falls were the perfect place to skip rocks

Curiously, rock skipping gave Brady super human strength and a smile to match

You will notice McKay is already headed up the trail

Lisa imparting some wisdom to Brady, it's fun to see siblings helping each other

Half way there

We found a small cave that smelled like marijuana, so of course everyone wanted to stop and take a look around.

The falls were flowing pretty well for early September.

The kids watched a 7-year old rappel down the face of the waterfall with her Dad. They made it.

McKay found a deadly caterpillar, the fuzzywumpus.

The deadly nature of the caterpillar made Lisa worried, but the boys were just excited.

Brady had a fun ride down the mountain.

Interesting how even when skipping rocks it looks like Lisa is dancing.

More hills to conquer, more help to give

Water break

Proud parental moments.

Choices, choices...

Ryan had fun driving while waiting for the ice cream to be made.

It's fun to feel the fog of liquid nitrogen on your face while freezing the ice cream.

A nice end to our hike.
