Boy Project: Air Soft Bunker

So... Lisa and Jana were up in Ogden Friday and all of Saturday at a dance competition for NUVO (it was a regional qualifying competition for a future national dance competition) -- Lisa won the whole thing! and as a result received some nice dance scholarships.

While the girls were up goofing around at dance, us boys needed a project...this time, it was to be a bunker as a place of refuge for air soft gun battles. After designing the bunker and going to Home Depot to pick up some wood scraps, hinges and camo paint we began the "secret projekt."

There was plenty of drilling and screwing required...perfect...

Bryson and Brady, the BYU twins were even in on the action.

Ryan did his bit screwing some hinges in...

I put my ski goggles on and used the Skil saw on my trusty work table/wheel barrow.

We built cut out some windows for protected shooting and made sure the windows would open and shut on their hinges.

Then we painted it with the camo paint (special thanks to Tyler's artistic abilities) and put it into action. The boys had a blast!

Lisa's Birthday! 15 Years!

After going out to eat at P.F. Chang's we came home to open gifts and have some dessert.

Let's just say that if it were really true that she had the number of boyfriends as candles that didn't blow out the first time, I'd be worried...trick candles ala Jana

...but Lisa got them all out eventually...relief

After eating some raspberry delight it was on to gift opening.

There were boxes and ribbons everywhere...

...and a lot of girly screaming and giggling...the boys were wondering why clothes were so exciting...just didn't register with them.

There were some hugs and expressions of gratitude too.

McKay got Lisa a Manila Elementary t-shirt

Bryson made a nice card with some candy in it. The other boys were in on the action too in their own special ways...text messages and a dry erase message on Lisa's mirror.
