We all heard a mega-honker outside so we went to see what it was...
...it was the Pleasant Grove ladder truck, that ladder is 100 feet high!
The firemen invited us to see their big truck and to take the tour...
It was amazing, big enough to hold 10 firemen, long enough to require a second driver in the back powerful enough to spray 2500 gallons per minute from atop the 100' ladder...cool.
The next day was Ryan's 12th birthday...Ryan directed the singing.
Those trick candles took a few blows to go out, but Ryan did it and we dug into Jana's homemade cheesecake...yum!
Ryan and the boys were excited to see gifts...
A fully automatic airsoft gun was the big ask and the big receive, a BYU hat and a "Heroes" poster of Captain Moroni that we framed and hung in his room rounded out the gifts.
The next big gift was the Aaronic Priesthood. Tyler, Grandpa Bacon and I were all in the circle to confer the Priesthood on Ryan and ordain him a Deacon.
We're very proud of Ryan and he has been excited to use his Priesthood to pass the sacrament, collect fast offerings and do other assignments the Bishop has given.
